10 Minute HuRTS x4

4x 10min reps (2min recovery) with HuRT Squad. Pretty busy today and lots of traffic to dodge around Farm Cove. I took the 2nd too hard then had trouble recovering for the 3rd and 4th:

  1. (up)       2.82 km, 10:00, 3:33 pace
  2. (down) 2.82km,  9:35,   3:24 pace
  3. (up)       2.77km,  10:00, 3:37 pace
  4. (down) 2.77km,   9:42,   3:30 pace

Distance is a guesstimate based on gmap pedometer so might not be accurate. I should join the Garmin club I suppose. The procrastinating baker/runner has an old 305 somewhere that I can probably borrow.

Total of 19.6km incl. to/from North Sydney.

Slight soreness in right heel this morning but to be honest it’s just good to be doing enough to have a niggle! Will have to keep an eye one it and stretch the calves a bit more. Unfortunately no massage this week which is a shame as I hear the Tiger has air-freighted some San Pellegrino just for me!

Easy run tomorrow. I’ll aim for >35kms at the Knapsack race on Thursday and rest Friday as I’m looking after the kids at home. I’m taking R to his first soccer session with Little Kickers. I reckon he’s going to love it. Can’t wait to see him in his strip!

love your blog! your training is going awesomely. I actually enjoy reading about your brewing too.

Will you be having another crack at Mt Solitary again this year?

Glad you enjoy it Ian. Certainly will keep me honest if I know people actually read it! Will add you to the blogroll if you don’t object.

Very keen to run Mt. Solitary again as long as I pull up OK from Six Foot (pretty sure the procrastinatingbaker will too). I loved the insanity of trying to run up that f*cking hill after 40km of really hard trail running. Oh, and at the start – the last post echoing off the cliff tops in the mist and rain! Made your hairs stand up.

yes, please go ahead and add me to your blogroll.

Ill be there for Mt Solitary again. With any luck it will be just as cool but without the fog. Seemed like a bad joke to run that hard for no view at the top.

I think ive seen you from time to time running from north sydney across the bridge into the city. Im normally running home. Will give a big manic wave next time!
