Hornsby Hurricane

Friday: massage and rest. Couldn’t have run if I’d tried. Completely buggered.

Saturday: morning lie-in(!), easy 14km in the afternoon and a good stretch.

Sunday: early start for the Hornsby Hurricane with the Striders. Nice course and great weather. Not very long (29km) but plenty of tough hills, rugged trail and stairs along the way.

105km for the week. Less than planned but needed a bit of rest.

The procrastinating wife had to work the rest of Sunday so I was looking after the kids. They were hard work after such an early start. I would have given anything for an hour horizontal. Busy week at work coming up so the blogs might be short and to the point (=boring training record).

Planning to enter myself and the wife in Running Wild’s Mount Solitary Marathon at lunchtime. It’s like Six Foot Track only less hype (hysteria?) and much much harder. If I can keep up the training momentum then I should be in much better shape this year.
