Observatory Hill Reps

Hill reps with the HuRTS crowd today. Some rocks were falling off the walls of the tunnel under the harbour bridge so the footpath was closed and we were pushed onto the road dodging cars, buses and runners in both directions. Combine that with all the other training groups on observatory hill and it was nuts! Montpelier St. in Neutral Bay is heaps quieter and a more consistent steady hill but I guess too far to tempt everyone over the bridge.

Anyway, I missed the start so did 9.5 reps mostly hanging onto J-Fen’s tail until he stopped after 8. Ray was doing short reps but took pity on me and kept me company for the last two. Times for the ~550m hill:

HR topping out at 165 and dropping to 140ish in the recovery (again – NFI what that means!). 17km total with warm-up/cool-down. Hip is holding up well. Fingers crossed should be OK for Mt. Solitary.

    Sorry Fats, had decided to do 8 before the session started as my legs were killing me from tough sessions over the last 5 days.. Great session mate, enjoyed it. JFen
