Callan Park Hills

Unfortunately I couldn’t get out early enough to join Easy Tiger for his hill session, so I ended up doing it late morning by myself. 9km warm-up around the bay then 6x 1km hills with 850m jog recovery:

3:46, 3:46, 3:47, 3:49, 3:49, 3:54

I was puffing so hard I nearly quit after five. Only the thought of being berated by Gary pulled me through. Times are a few seconds slower than last time (just before Kepler), but I’m quite happy given where I am in the build up to Six Foot. My thighs are tired and sore for some reason. Hopefully just absorbing the recent training load. A few kms back home to cool down added up to 24.5km for the day.

Tomorrow I’ll be running the Striders Middle Harbour Picnic Star. Looks like there will be a good contingent for a 6:30am start. After today I will have to work hard to avoid getting dropped.
