Easy 11km late on Monday night. As often happens the day after a tough long run, it felt floaty and surprisingly comfortable.

Tuesday lunchtime saw a good turnout for a warm and sunny 2x 20 mins with 3 mins recovery. My legs were feeling a bit heavier today and after a km or so I was on my own trailing well behind Bartles. Reached pier 5 (5.55km, 3:36/km) and had to work hard on the return into the wind. I ended up back at the stone pillars 15 seconds over time (3:39/km). Could be worse. 21km total for the day.

Looks like quite a lot of rain forecast between now and Sunday which will make for an interesting time on the Equaliser course. Bring it on – I like a mudbath. I’m having churrasco the night before for a mate’s birthday so Macca had better stay out of my back-draught.
